I have six years of business editing and writing experience. I am editor of Woodland Management magazine for the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association. I am also a freelance writer and editor for the following publications: Residential Design & Build, Security Dealer & Integrator, Insight, Wisconsin Trails, Experimental Aircraft Association, and Northside News.

Prior to freelancing, I was managing editor for Website Magazine - a national trade magazine with 140,000 readers plus newsstand sales. Previous to Website Magazine, I was managing editor for Residential Design & Build magazine - a national trade publication with 52,000 readers. In addition, I am blog chairman for the American Society of Business Publication Editors' blog, and have been a member since 2006.

I have experience researching, interviewing and writing full-length feature or smaller articles. I enjoy learning new industries and reporting on the current trends and challenges of those industries.

I am proficient in AP and Chicago Manual styles, InDesign, Quark Xpress, DreamWeaver, Expression and Microsoft Office.

I received my Masters of Science in Journalism in May 2010 from Roosevelt University with a 4.0 GPA. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Writing from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point.
